What do you wear?

The Driver

Detailers Workshop
Just figured I'd ask. The obvious being nothing with zippers, buttons or anything else metal. I always keep a clean look as a professional for mobile detailing, I have a bunch of black Oakley polos and matched black shorts or pants depending on the weather.

When it's hot an working at home I always try an match but nothing fancy just black wal-mart under armor and black shorts to destroy. Can't even begin to count how many nice clothes I've destroyed because I just wanted to dress average for the day... yeah, I regret it every time. All those favorite shirts... gone.

For shoes either decent all black sneakers or my fave Oakley car wash flip flops. Yes, they are awesome!

For me, because I already "run hot", has to be anything cotton and white, to help reject some sunlight off me.

Black for me just absorbs the sun and heat and looks bad when you are sweating through it. :)

The ladies in my old neighborhood used to like to drive by really slowly and/or stop and ask me questions when I was working outside in a tight nice Nordstrom's/Tommy Bahama White T-shirt.. :) :)

YOu may want to keep an eye on my "selfie" thread as more posts add up.

My neighbors asked me to start wearing shirts. I can only believe that this is because the local men are worried their women will no longer want them.

maybe you need to cut back a little on the steroids again ron :strong:

My alter ego is a well dressed, well groomed professional in nice clean jeans and Polo shirts. Then there's the real me, who doesn't shave for 5 days, wears ripped up jeans with paint and oil stains all over them, work boots, and equally ratty t shirts. That's the guy who shows up to do my friend's and family's vehicles lol.

I'm the same way. Have my Company Tees but not the best at a clean cut shave.

I had a new nice and soft white shirt my fiance bought me one day last summer. Decided to clean my rims since they were very dirty. Anyone who owns a Daytona jr. wheel scrubber knows how it can sling dirty water everywhere..... ya, I walked away with black dots all over my brand new shirt. Now its my detailing shirt.

In the summer it's black basketball/tennis style shorts and t-shirt. In cooler weather it's soft running pants and long sleeve t-shirt or fleece pullover if a little extra warmth is needed. Since I work out of my home, i'm pretty grungy during the work but try to grab a shave and shower before customer pickup (not that they care since it's mainly friends and family)

I like Polo cargo shorts. It has to be this brand, because these have the best pockets that can fit all kinds of stuff: a towel, an applicator, etc... Other brands always cheap out on the pockets, but Polo is the real deal.

Same thing for t-xxxxs. Polo t shirts with the little polo player on them. The cotton on these just seems soft and holds up to washing better than most. It has to be a crew neck though...I once bought a V-neck by accident and my GF said I looked like a D-bag.

Shoes = old school Vans for me. Black. No palm trees or checkered patterns here.
