What do you wash the inside of your doors with?

It seems that using regular soap would be difficult to rinse off without getting any water in the car.

What do you use?

For clean doors I use a very diluted APC. For very dirty door jambs I use a stronger APC or WD40 to cut the grease and grime, then follow up with a milder APC and wipe clean with old clean rags.

ONR and QD are great. Work them in with paint brushes wide and thin. They work great. Use nice brushes so that you don't have brush hairs falling out all over the place. Clean them well and they will last a very long time. Wipe down with waffle weave MF towels.

I usually use my regular shampoo mix and small BHBs, followed by the BHBs again with just water. Then I leave the doors ajar a little bit when I rinse the outside and enough water gets in there to get most of what's left. And I spritz with QD when I dry, which gets the rest..

Mostly, I've used whatever QD is around. Lately - meg's UQD. Last time, I used ONR at QD strength and it worked well.

I use Simple Green at around 10:1; works great on all hard plastic surfaces.

I follow with PB Nat. Look or Opt. Protectant for a nice natural finish.

I use purple power APC full strength and agitate with a foam brush on bad door jams, 10:1 APC on lighter duty, and QD or ONR on clean(er) jams.

It's a rare occasion when I see door jams in good condition.

I just did mine today as I am getting ready for a show next weekend. They were already pretty clean but I used ONR QD followed by clay bar, Optimum Poli-Seal, DWG x2, P21S, ONR QD again. I usually just use an AIO like Klasse or Optimum but I WANT TO WIN lol. I have won a few times and I think it's making me super anal about show prep.

Yowsa and dissamn! Nice.

I find that polishing the painted areas in the doorjambs/etc. and then thoroughly LSPing them makes for not only a great appearance, but also easier cleaning...rough/unpolished surfaces retain dirt and moisture more than smooth/polished surfaces.

Since many of these areas aren't clearcoated at the factory, they're usually pretty rough even when the vehicle is new...takes a few different grades of polish to get things up to snuff just like doing the rest of the car's paint.

Immaculate doorjambs aren't just for showcars ;)

I first cleaned them with some P21S TAW when they were dirty. Now after having Klassed them I just blot with a mf that is damp with ONR, then follow a second time with ONR spritzed.
