What do you think of this blower?

If you want to save a few $$$ this is the same thing:

ELECTRIC PORTABLE BLOWER - GARDEN - DRIVEWAY | Lawn / Garden

BigAl is right that the Wal-Mart Weed Eater is more powerful and a better choice in many cases, especially if you want to dry your whole car. But if you want something much smaller to only dry wheels/tires and blow water out of nooks & crannies then this is worth a look.

It is essentially a knock-off of the Cycle Dry that sells for about $40:

Cycle Dry Motorcycle Air Dryer [Cycle Dry] - $39.95 : Mikuni, vance and hines, S&S motors, harley parts, vance & hines, vance&hines, s&s motors, s&s carb, slip on, marten brothers, motorcycle exhausts and more., Mikuni, vance and hines, S&S motors, h

I have had the Cycle Dry for over a year and have been very pleased with it. I personally don't like to use a larger leaf blower to dry so this compact unit works out very well...... it's something that if I damaged it I would buy again. I bought the cheaper one just to compare and have as a spare.....since it was only $10. I've only used it a couple of times and it seems OK for something that cheap. It isn't made quite as well as the Cycle Dry and seems just a tad less powerful.

I'll tell you right now that the 200 MPH specs that Amazon lists are an inflated number, but these are fine for doing what I mentioned above, but if you want to dry an entire car this isn't for you. I also consider the vacuum bag the cheap units come with pretty much a joke.

Pros:

Very compact and light

Very inexpensive at $10

Trigger lock

Rubber nozzle

Comes with spare set of motor brushes

Great for blowing water off wheels/tires and out of nooks/crannies.

Cons:

Very cheaply made

Not large/powerful enough to dry whole car

Bottom line if you want something compact and light and don't expect to dry a complete car give one of the cheap units a try. If you don't like it you aren't out that much. If you do like it and it burns out after a couple of months then spend the extra bucks for a Cycle Dry.

i've never considered a leaf blower a complete drying tool and usually only works well if you have a good LSP base on the finish (water would easily fly or sheet off, rather than slowly tread thus taking a little longer)...

I use a wing blower I got at a Farm supply store...Its used for drying horses when they take them to horse shows lol.....Not sure on specs, but it blows alot of CFM
