What do you guys pay rent?

I understand that maket and location play a huge roll, but I would like to have an idea.



How large is your fixed location and how much is the rent?



What would you look for in location if you were to leave?



What do you like/dilike about your location now?

My shop is 8000 square feet in an industrial area and I pay $2000/month. My last shop was on a main street and I had much more retail traffic. If I could do it over again I would be better off building a building from scratch. It pays off in the long run. For the cost of new construction now a days and with low mortgage rates/payments, it's much more cost efective to own than lease.

Both our branches hold 4-5 cars inside and around the same number uncovered... Cost is not applicable since we're in a different country.



Like what Fermani said, better to find a place that allows you to design the place from scratch. Our 2nd branch lighting, arrangement and design is a big improvement from our main branch (which used to be a auto-tuner shop's garage.)
