edschwab1 said:I did a 19.5' boat last summer in similar condition using the complete line of 3M PI-III liquid abrasives. I completed the project using the PC and various pads which took me just over 16 hours. I started late one day and was rained out on another. So speaking from experience I would recommend using a rotary with wool or heavy cut foam and various compounds.
How many long is the boat?

If you work it until its dry and reduce pressure you'll be able to get away with that on the white, on the blue you'll probably need 2 passes of superduty and a lesser polish with a foam pad, if you really want to make the boat shine use the polish on the whole thing. Then follow up with some wax, naturally. I work at a boat dealership as a boat detailer (among other things) and I have brought back boats in MUCH worse condition than that. Expect 4 to 6 hours for that job. Good luck,
Chris
Oh ya The rust stain's on the transom can be taken care of with a product called On-Off a really nasty acid cleaner, if you can find it.
