What chemical neutralizes Brake Fluid

Brake Hose blew out on me. Luckily, it was from a parked position when I noticed the pedal.....

Coasted home like a champ. Sprayed  it down with a pressure washer, then did a liberal dousing of P21S gel. Brake fluid I know can eat paint. The Powdercoated wheels and calipers turned out okay. Another story for the tire ;-) The tuff Shine coating on it - or the tire looks like a spiderweb of brown streaks . I guess it's going to need a full scrub of the tires and recoat.

OT for the day, but what chemical in a ~detailing guys~ stash, whether it be acidic, akalinic, etc will neutralize brake fluid

The general recommendation I'm aware of is lots of water.

I dealt with a blow out of a plastic brake fluid reservoir, it got on three cars.  It was quite a mess.  We acted quickly and there was no evidence of any damage on any of the cars...I was somewhat surprised.

I've always wanted to do a brake fluid test...on paint and how fast or slow it reacts...

FWIW, this was years ago, but I had a hose similarly burst in me.  I believe I used 1 or 2 bottles of bottled water I had in the car just to wet it down. It got towed to the shop, and sat unrinsed until I got it back...No damage to the wheel or caliper as well.  I run BBK kits on all my cars, so the calipers were powdercoated and the wheels, I can't remember but assume it was PC as well.

overnight!  a shop I looked at a car for had a car on a lift and one under it...car on top leaked brake fluid onto the lower car.  10 hours later the paint was bubbled
