I painted my own car. I finished it about 2-3 weeks ago depending on panel, I finished the hood and fender using meguiars heavy cut, medium cut, swirl remover and then glaze- all with a rotary. They look AWESOME.
(This is the first car ive painted)
Now, im about finished wet sanding the rest of the car. Im using 1500, 2000 and I may buy some 3000 for a few passes.
My question is,
I have access to a rotary (friend will be using it, not me) and I am considering buying a PC.
I was thinking this:
foam cutting pad on rotary with meguiars heavy cut / medium cut.
foam cutting pad on rotary with meguiars fine cut or DAC
foam polishing pad on PC with swirl remover
foam polishing pad on PC with s100 cleaner / polish
klasse SG by hand
s100 by hand
thoughts? recomendations? i have learned so much in the last 3 days ive been researching about 4 hours a day like a mad man, this site is MY HEAVEN.
Also, do I need to claybar in here at all? I immagine I should heavily wash the paint after wetsanding... other than that any washing needed amongst these steps?
