doing a white single stage tundra again and this one has these stubborn black spots. had to clay really hard to get it off. then followed up with a polish to remove the remaining black stain

what`s the name of these spots and what other easier method can I perform to remove them?

From the picture I would guess what we call here artillery fungus. Shoots out of mulch this time of year. Baking soda and water takes it right off.

Yup. Guaranteed. Had them all over one of my cars before I moved it out of range of the mulch. Take most of it off with your fingernail or a clay bar.

thanks guys. it`s been on the vehicle for a while. a little 1x1 section took me roughly 3-4 mins to remove with hard scrubbing.

I`ll give baking soda and water a shot

Never seen this suggested before...will have to give it a shot next time one comes in. :)

worked perfectly. I was googling yesterday and came across a tip that said to add distilled vinegar. I did a few splashes of vinegar and it gave the baking soda a bit of sizzle and I started scrubbing with a bug pad

Does that stuff come off with Decontamination Chemicals like ValuGard`s "A" or FK1119? I`d *assume* so as those products have even removed lane-line paint for me without doing any damage.
