What advantage is it to use a DA for wax?

I have the black Lake Country pad for finishing. I can't figure out a use for it. What advantage is there to using the PC with a pure wax? If I've polished the car with the PC and it shines like a diamond. Should I apply the wax with the finishing pad or by hand?

So far, I find is simpler to apply the #26, leave it alone and buff off. IF anything maybe a microfiber bonnet and PC to remove the wax.

Will it achieve better results using the PC with wax? NXT wax? etc?

Thanks

The biggest reason for using a pc + finishing pad to apply wax is the uniform coating it applies to the finish. I also find that it's faster for waxes that need to haze/dry before removal. If I use NXT or Wolfgang, I use the pc to apply it to the entire vehicle. By the time I'm finished, it's time to buff out with an mf towel.

I've also used the pc with a mf bonnet as a "final" buff after removing the wax with a towel.

Just my $0.000002 (after taxes)

Using the PC to apply your wax will leave a nice, thin even coat. I agree with Toto, apply to the entire car all at once then buff off with a MF bonnet. Results are outstanding.

Plus, it's just a different physical motion. When I was having shoulder trouble, I couldn't do stuff by hand without aggravating my injury. But the slightly different motions involved in using machines didn't bother me at all. I found that I liked doing it by machines better and now I seldom do much by hand.

no to mention.... a pc will get in product deeper thus eliminating problems of surface defects more than by hand.

speed.

just quicker. the black foam finishing pads are like butta.

i personally slow it down to 2-3, and with a 7.5 LC VC pad, the wax or LSP is on in about 5 min flat.....and my fingers dont get sore...and then i dont have to whine:o
