I have a 5 years old Centurion wakeboard boat. Gelcoat is dark red, good condition, no oxidation. The gelcoat does need a good cleaning and sealant/wax.

Should I use HD speed as a one step?

Should I use HD Polish followed by HD Poxy?

What works well on gelcoats from the 3D product line?

5 year old boat and no oxidation......?? W O W ! ! :shocked :rockon1: Are you sure?

All the polishing compounds (CUT/UNO/Polish) work great on gel coat. If the finish is as good as you say, then HD Polish with a green foam pad may work out great. Then follow up with HD POXY and you're set. 3D also offers a product called AC Rust & Algae Remover that is designed to dissolve scale, calcium, etc from boat surfaces.

Thank you for the suggestions. Boat is always kept in a covered tent when not in use. Has been polished and waxed each year by a professional. Want to do it myself now.

You should be fine. Just make sure to constantly keep those pads clean. The little divots tend to collect dust/debris and could prevent the best possible gloss and correction from being created. If you have a stiff brush, just clean them after each pass. Keep us posted on your results.
