Looks great, but zoom out, lets see the whole thing! Looks like a clean a$$ Impala! Anything done to the engine?

looking good. arent you supposed to use the trizact compound for the the 3k grit marks. I would think the RC to be too abrasive for the 3k grit marks. Looks good overall.

Its not totally done yet. The bumpers arent done yet spoiler, grille, wheel moldings.

The engine is stock save for:

home depot intake w/K&N

160 t-stat

2 1/4 x-pipe

Flowmaster

2 1/4 tailpipes

opening the exhuast and intake really woke it up. Along with a fresh opti and plugs and wires. Went from 15.0s with just intake to best of 14.50 @94 with mods and learning to launch.

:bow :bow

Dang, that looks NICE!! Awful funny though, looks like you did the same thing I've been mocking up to do to my truck:

Forgive my crappy quality photoshop.

So is yours a "real" Impala SS, or an upfitted 9C1? I still want to pick one of those up, I've been in love with them ever since drivers' ed (yeah, the driving school was using a real '95 SS as a drivers ed car!)

It is a REAL 1996 Impala SS. Thats funny we have the same idea. I was stuck between orange/red, lime green, or purple pinstripe and flame.

Those other two sound like they would've been sweet! I've always wondered how Sunset Orange Metallic with Hugger Orange ghost flames would look....

I decided on mine simply to almost mirror my garage color theme (Black, red, and white).

Yeah the true color of the flame /pinstripe is House Of Color Ultra orange Pearl. When its all done i will get some good pics in the sun.

Color combo:

Galaxy black- Nissan color that explodes in direct sun.

Galaxy silver- GM color used on a lot of cars. Nice flake pop.

Ultra orange Pearl

Great pics! Nice to see someone painting a car the right way and taking it practically apart to do it. :)

Thanks! I wanted to take the windows out but, decided not to. Maybe next time.

Cool, sounds like a good combo. I have a '01 Buick Century in Galaxy Silver (in addition to the Envoy), so I certainly can agree with the flake pop comment. :xyxthumbs

BTW are you planning to put the script back on the rear quarters, or leaving them off?

Still havent decided. If i do put them on they will be vinyl decals instead of the stock plastic scripts. just for the ease of waxing/buffing and not having to deal with the buildup.

BTW, what do you use on your Century and Envoy? I've got a combo set for the black half of the car. Whats good on silver?
