Wetsand with a PC

Well, my mom's car has some orange peel on the roof of her Black 06 Pathfinder, and I wanted to see if it was possible to wetsand with 2000 or 3000 grit sandpaper, and follow it with a 3M Compound, and an Orange P2 Pad with SSR2.5.



I know that it's not recommended to do it with a PC, but I don't have a rotary, and I want to be sure that I can do it before I attempt anything to make it worse.

If I were you, I wouldn't bother with sanding the roof as most don't see it enough anyway. This is where the sun beats down the most and you're venturing into a land of losing the protection that is offered by that orange peel.

I am assuming that you don't mean that you are going to wetsand with a PC as your title indicates?

Well I would like to know if I can for further reference since my bumper has some orange peel on it too.

I use a sanding block... I'd be afraid to use my rotary (maybe if I was trained in a bodyshop or something).
