Wet look on Seal Grey? Close yet so far away

I detail several Porsches in Seal Grey now and on each one I have a different combo of products on them to see what gives the "wettest" appearance to it.

On this particular 911 I did it all by hand with 2 coats of AIO and then topped with Pinnacle Liquid Souveran.

I really liked this combo and the results and think of the other 4 911's in this color, this combo gives the wettest look so far. Next week I may top it with P21S or Trade Secret and see what happens.

Next week I may do one of th eother Seal Greys and will post pictures of that one and the products used.

First picture is in the shade under an oak tree in the front of the hospital where I detail many of my clients cars.

Anthony,

What a great wetttt finish on grey! :xyxthumbs

I will have to try AIO next time I go for the full detail.

I have a question for you. I have just ordered a 2004 X5 4.4 for my wife with the titanium silver metallic paint. What products would you recommend for the most reflective/wett shine? I was thinking about AIO, then PUPP X 3 and then either P21S or Pinnacle Pase Glaz as a topper. Let me know what you think would be the best.

Again, great job on that sweet Porsche!

Cheers,

My Black 7 Series

AMP,

Ahhh, yes the 4.4 X5 Excellant pick!

Many people avoid AIO on the color you are getting because they feel that AIO darkens the color but I desire that because it gives more depth. So if I were doing your X5 I would:

Clay

2 coats of AIO

P21S as your topper.

P21S just makes silver really POP and you will get plenty of it with this combo.

The UPP may add just a bit more to the shine. The one thing we do know is that a layer or two of UPP will NOT hurt it:)

Post some pics when you are done please!

Anthony

Looks great Anthony! Last silver vehicle I did was a Suburban :(

AMP99, another real good, wet combo on silver is Meguiars Swirl Free, Vanilla Moose and either S100, Carnauba Moose or pretty much any other quality carnauba since the combination of Swirl Free and Vanilla Moose lays down a real wet looking base. Just thought I'd toss that into the mix for you to ponder.

I'd post a pic, but this is Anthony's thread. ;)
