I have a Wen 944 Polisher and want to know if anyone know any information on these, like the speed, it has variable speed switch

Searching the Web I dont see it being made by WEN any longer, but they do have a 946 model..
I remember seeing these around, back in the 70's...
It could work except for the backing plate not being set up with velcro to accept velcro backed pads which is the norm today..
I knew a guy that had one way back then and the pads had to be pulled over the backing plate and you tied a couple of strings together to hold it all on...
If you can get pads for this machine or somehow get a backing plate that is velcro backed so the current pads sold today will stick to it, and the machine works, you could use it again.. Have you used this machine before ??
