Never going to eat a leftover piece of pumpkin pie at 11 pm ever again.

I've had an umbilical hernia for about 8 years now. Very rarely causes me any physical discomfort but I have an outie instead of any innie. Doctor says as long as it doesn't bother me, don't worry about it.

Anyway, I have a dream where for some reason, the hernia makes me stop breathing and my Mom uses a difribulator to get me breathing again, then Sarah Silverman (of all people) operates on me and fixes my hernia.

Seriously,

Dude you need to get that fixed asap. I had one as well and the docts told me to fix it regaurdless if it hurts! You do know your intestines can come thru at any time without warning and that leads to an emergency surgery--not something you want. Its really easy and your up and running the next day just no lifiting over 5lbs for a month or so. Get it fixed!!!!

"Was it a dream where you see yourself standing in sort of sun-god robes on a pyramid with a thousand naked women screaming and throwing little pickles at you?

"Why am I the only one who has that dream?"

I want to lose about 20 pounds before I get it fixed, my doctor said the less I weigh, the faster I will heal. Plus, I have a $2500 deductable (only way the monthly premium is affordable) and this summer's nearly non-stop rain was not helpful to my bank account, pretty much took until mid October to get some savings built up (several tunnel washes in the Dallas area did not survive the summer rains), not to mention my car getting totaled last month and now I have car payments again. Ugh.

Hey, at least if it strangulates and I need surgery right away, I'd get it and could just pay the deductable in payments after the surgery....or I could go down to Mexico, sneak across the border and get it fixed for free at Parkland Hospital in Dallas. ;)
