Waxed or Polised out - how can I tell?

My car is at a detailer today, courtesy of my Audi dealer who swirled the hell out of the car. How can I tell if the detailer polished out the scratches, or if he just filled them with wax? I spoke to them, but they hadn't started the car yet.



Is there a surefire way to tell?

Perhaps spraying alcohol on the spots you think may just be covered up or even wash with Dawn. Thing is by doing this, you'll have to wax or apply sealant all over again.



Geez, now you've made me paranoid about my Audi dealer! :scared



Hope all goes well, and those swirls are all gone.

Take alcohol and water 50/50 and spritz the major spot of swirls. You will need to go back over those parts with a sealant or wax however.
