wax vs polish question

I dont post often but have been reading a lot. I've searched (this site and others) but I dont think I have found the answer I've been looking for.

Over the fast few years (from 2003 to now), I've been using Zaino and have been very happy with it. Knowing that Zaino is a polish do I still need a wax and if so, why?

Are you asking if you can top Zaino with a wax?

what Zaino are you using?

and not to confuse you more but Zaino makes polishes and sealants

and sealants do the same job as a wax

Zaino calls their sealants "polishes" also, makes things very confusing. Meguiars terminology can be confusing too. If you're using a sealant such as Z2- Pro or Z5- Pro, then no you dont need a wax if you like the sealant look. Now if you're just using the Z- PC polish, then yes you'll need some kind of protection, a sealant or a wax.

Exactly what Zaino products are you using?

I have a feeling you are reading the label on either Z2, Z3 or Z5 and the name says polish when it is really a sealant (I am not sure why). I think that is where the confusion is. The only polish Zaino makes is Z-PC (I guess Z AIO could also be considered a polish).

Also, if you use Z2, Z3 or Z5, you generally don't want to follow up with a wax. Based upon others comments, Zaino's sealants don't like to be topped.
