Poorboy

Founder Poorboy's World
With winter and cold weather on it's way to many parts of the world, many car owners and detailers will be moving indoors or will want to clean their wheels and tires without getting wet.
Two great products for doing this quickly and safely are Spray and Wipe Waterless wash and Bold N Bright Tire cleaner and dressing. (Gel too) !

Products used:

Poorboy's World
Spray and Wipe
Poorboy's World Bold N Bright
Poorboy's World Bold N Bright Gel
Generic Tire Brush
a couple Cotton towels
an old Microfiber Cloth

Here is the driver's side tire and wheel

now I sprayed the wheel with Spray and Wipe

half way into wiping the wheel with a clean cotton towel

wheel and tire finished

on to the passenger side of the truck ... this time I decided to do the wheel first and then the tire ...

again, I sprayed the wheel liberally with Spray and Wipe

IMG_2245.jpg

let the Spray and Wipe dwell for a few seconds and then wipe with a clean cotton cloth

This tire will be done with Bold N Bright Gel ...

the advantage of the gel is less over spray to clean up after ...
this is about the amount needed to clean and dress a tire

IMG_2247.jpg

spread it around a little and then scrub the tire well

here is the finished product

if you want you can apply a second coat with a foam applicator or brush

I use an old microfiber cloth to do a light wipe and buff of the wheel when finished. Another note, this is only a maintenance of a wheel, those driving in winter conditions with salt and sand on the road, will eventually need to do a thorough washing to clean the back side of the wheel.

thanks for looking and please let me know if you have any questions
:)

That's a handsome tire and wheel.

I've never used the B&B product, but since it makes a dirty tire look that good, I'll be ordering some for MY Christmas gift stocking.

Is anybody else here a wheel and tire fanatic? I spend more time fussing with the tires and wheels than the entire car during a regular wash.

Nice demo. I have not seen many tire brushes with such as dense bristle pattern. If I tried that on the ones I used, the product would simply disappear - not sit on bristles.
