Water Spots

I'm new to the forum, and so far, the info has been very helpful. I know there are many threads already on water spots, but I wanted to get some more info. Yesterday, I washed my car. I sprayed it down first, washed it, rinsed it, and wiped immediately after with a MF waffle towel. When I took it into the garage to wax, I noticed water spots on the hood, trunk, and roof. I was so upset. I didn't think there was enough time for spots to develop. My mistake was that I live in AZ, and I washed the car in the sun after the car was sitting in the sun for a while. Could that have caused it?

After I saw the spots, I tried Meguiar's QD, and that didn't work. I even put on a coat of Klasse AIO. That helped it, but they didn't completely go away.

1. Do I need to do it a few more times with AIO?

2. Any suggestions on what I should do? I am hoping that since they weren't on there for a long time, I can get them out by hand.

3. I have read to use vinegar. Do you just spray vinegar on and leave it? Is is safe for the paint?

I hope I don't have to go and get it taken out professionally especially since I took all the care I thought I could when washing it. Thanks in advance for you help.

Try using an abrasive product. With all luck, your spots are from previous washes back in the day. They should polish out with a mild abrasive polish like Poorboys Super Swirl Remover 2, or try some optimum polishes.

Originally, I though it was from previous washes, but I specifically remember not seeing them before this past wash. I examined the hood very closely before this past wash trying to get a small scratch out, and I know I didn't see any water spots.

I agree with steve, use something like opt. polish to get them out...it really sounds like it is from a pervious wash but you would be the one to know if that is true or not..not us...
