Washing Paint with *construction debris*

So the bldg over is having major renovation - wood, plaster, etc. Airborne dust like such that is not exactly smooth and has some bite to it...it`s going on daily and unavoidable as the contractor does not seem to like the setup where they leave containers behind, but the latter, where garbage style compactor trucks are used. So out comes the trash.....thrown in the truck, it`s compacted, lots of construction debris airborne. Everyday for the past week sofar...

I`ve yet to give it a wash/rinse with a PW to see how easy this stuff comes out, as I don`t really want to take a mitt to it.
A brief test by using the blower, does not make the airborne debris that has settled on the hood/roof move off the paint panels. It`s etched in....maybe even worse than pollen !

Curious, how would you wash the car.....
 
Heh, not that it has come a looooong way in my process. And or any special soap would have helped in this particular situation.....

Outside of this whole construction debris thing, I`ve always strived for a truly touchless. It`s that time of the year again. Leaves are falling and before you know it comes the salt/snow. And once again, I`ll be trying new things to see if anything will make it truly touchless..
 
Indeed. Going to have to do the mitt/hose rinse combo.

Washing in general is a mechanical agitation process.....ya know...even, if one is just washing off film. You are literally mechanically removing it...
Uggh. I would rather have a rain soaked dirty filmy car than this. The vert panels are good. It`s just the horizontal flats. You can make out the debris but just cleaning the windshield and seeing the ~muck line~ that you get where the wiper blade stops.
 
Debating . Pointless to wash as it will just be as bad 12 hrs later....until I suppose they are done with the demo..

Then again, stuff like that sitting, I guess it`s just as bad as pollen as the old plaster, sheetrock duck grips in.

Do I agitate debris 3-5X or just wait, in the literall sense till the dust settles...
I tend to wash the car once a week minimum, maybe even 2 if I got time !
 
Uugh. This debris sucks....
Pressure rinsed. Foam blasted
Came back after 15 just to do the usual 2BM

Complete Opposite as if the car is dirty, it`s generally the Vert Panels from the road.
I generally do tops and then verts.
Did the verts 1st and then the rest...

Blew Dry. Got some minute marring on the D pillar. Not sure how or where I picked it up from my mitt.

Sad part is that looks like Demo is till going into next week and not finished.
One can clearly see how gunky and gritty this stuff is when you just get in, do a windshield wipe and see the gunk that settles where the wiper arm ends.
 
I would make sure there is a lot of wax to protect for the coming days. A low contact application kind of wax. Quick wax maybe (?)
Preferably one that doesn`t attract dust.
 
U know it`s bad when you take a shower, and whatever misting/blowby water you get when you wash (it`s a full contact sport with the PW :o)
and when showering, you kinda pickup construction debris smell ! To analogize, for those northerners that wash their car in the winter, you know how when you rinse, you smell salty ocean water...same concept.
