'02 Grand Prix GT with the 3800 SeriesII engine. I was always fond of the way her car cleaned up nicely. Black cars, bi*ch to take care of, but man the result! These cars with the fake duals on them from the factory, there cool but just the sound, there crying out for a set of real duals! AR

When I checked into installing a true dual exhaust on my wife's GTP, the guy at the muffler shop said, "It's still gonna sound like V-6 no matter what you put on it."
I had hoped for at least the sound of the old in-line sixes, but he said the firing order just didn't, (in his opinion) give a good sound. I passed on the idea.

I did true duals on my 4.3L GMC Sonoma and it was the worst sounding thing I have ever heard. Not to mention I lost back pressure and low end torque from doing it. The only V6's that will sound good and run good with true duals, in my opinion, are going to be the Buick Grand Nationals and the GMC Syclones and Typhoons.

I meant duals as in dual exhaust. This car really needs a set of at least 2" pipe with Magnaflow mufflers. In the stock exhaust, it sounds ok but it lets you know it has alot of potential to sound badass. Thanks,,,98
