The other day, I decided to quickly hose off the car, as it's been quite windy, and there was an accumulating mass of tree buds/leafs/etc...
Mind you, I haven't used the hose here before at all. I hosed it down and let it air dry. We were expecting rain in the following days, so I didn't bother with a wash...
When the water dried, I was shocked at the amount of, what I assumed to be, mineral deposits ALL over the car. It looked like milk was spilled on it and left to dry, like a huge cloudy film!!
We have softened water IN the house, but the garden hose isn't tapped into it, and the quality (old neighbourhood) of water is terrible...
I'm hoping my Mr.Clean Autodry is going to work miracles here!
