Wash wool pad?

Can you wash a wool pad?

In the middle of a detail I may have to change products as I'm running low on one product.

Also I forgot to pickup a spur tool at the supply store today.

I heard of some using the tip of a screwdriver to clean up the wool a bit?

Any other suggestions?

TIA!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Don't use a screwdriver.
If you have to (but don't), use a slower speed and work with the revolution. A friend of mine was stabbed in the leg this way.
Instead, use a vinyl/plastic brush.
To wash a pad, use water & soap, then spin dry. Then move to a product that you can add a little water (i.e., not PB's SSR series).
