wash waffleweave towel?

I just got Big waffleweave towel from mftech, thanks to Ian for his great service.



one quick question, should I wash this new waffleweave prior to the first car wash or just use it as is?



I'm thinking to do wash it by hand but is it any better than machine wash?

I have been hand washing my Pakshak MFs.

wondering if I should do machine wash at all.
 
Put it alone in your washer with liquid detergent and make sure to rinse it twice.

It may lint a little after first use so just wash it more frequently at first and it will go away.
 
MildSeven- I machine-wash my WW MF's all the time, no problem at all. I didn't notice any linting from MY MFTech WW's when I first used them (without washing), but it wouldn't hurt to do it, as F1Crazy suggested.



BTW, I machine-wash ALL my MF's and dry them on "low" or "extra low". So far, so good.
 
I hand washed last night.

I live in the aprt cmplx and need to go to the coin laundry facility if I want to use washing machine. If it's ok with hand wash, that's better for me because I can save some time going to the coin laundry facility (yea i'm lazy..) but I guess I'll use the washing machine next time. thanks for your tips :)

does anyone use Oxiclean? I never use this product but I see many of use here enjoy using it so I would like to get one of those. but is it safe product to use? They are power right? not like spray directly on stains..

Any suggestion or comments on Oxiclean?

MildSeven- I use OxyClean. I use it to wash heavily soiled towels (including MF's), but be sure to use hot/warm water and rinse, rinse, rinse in case a granule doesn't dissolve.



I've used it on carpeting with decent results, but in one case (a friend's home carpet where her dog had an accident) it DID bleach the carpet. But this was a severe case of "replace it for one reason or another", and at least the bleached area didn't smell. A local TV news outfit tested it, expecting it NOT to work, but it worked well for them. It's an OK product and well worth having around. Just watch where you buy it. Prices do vary, especially if you're paying shipping.
