Wash w/ pressure washer or regular hose w/ nozzle

I have been using a pressure washer for a while now to wash my Toyota Highlander and Rav4. How much difference is there if I wash them with a regular hose w/ a spray nozzle vs the pressure washer? I normally have really light dust/dirt on both vehicles. Afterwards I use Meguiars spray wax, rain-x for the windows and then detail the interior.

if you don't mind hooking up the pressure washer and what not i personally would go that route as it knocks off a lot of dirt and any stuck on dirt etc . . . . and lessens your chance of marring the vehicle when washing it.

And if you start from less soiled areas, you can effectively "chisel" the dirt off by the stream of water getting under the dirt. I go either ONR or power washer, no in between.

For light dust and typical road grime I just use ONR. If the car looks too dirty to wash easily and quickly then I foam presoak and PW the nasty stuff off, then follow with an ONR wipe down. I get no wash induced marring this way, even on a Honda with soft paint.

In your case, if the normal hose can rinse away enough gritty stuff that *you* are comfortable with, then go that way. Otherwise PW.
