Wash Today Dirty Tomorrow

One afternoon I ONR the new car, followed by an NXT2.0 liquid. The next morning, I notice the hood and top of the car is dusty. Did I do something wrong? Did I messed up causing the car to attract dust more? Is this normal?

Is your car garage parked, or parked outside?

Mine gets dirty in one day just parking outside in a busy area. When its extremely clean, the dust will show. I use a duster in these situations.

Nxt 2.0 leaves behind a lot of filling oils which tend to attract dust. A pure wax doesn't tend to dust as bad and the dust that collects doesn't stick.

i've also noticed that NXT 2.0 and Mother's Pure carnauba does attract dust REALLY quickly. 1 day outside is all it takes unfortunately

:bestwish

Time to hit that baby with some Meg's UQD or #135. It will get rid of the daily dust whilst making the finish glossier and better protected day in and day out- or at least it does for me. Love that stuff...

I did some testing about the proclaimed "hydro-phobic polymer technology" and I was admittedly skeptical going into it- but a COMPLETE believer coming out. It seriously caused water to bead on a wax-free car that had been neglected (never waxed ONCE) in it's 5 year life as if it had a solid 2-3 coats of quality carnuba.

I now try and do a quick wipe down at least every OTHER day depending on the level of dust from driving around etc.

so i guess its the NXT2.0 causing trouble. Its funny how I allow it to cure for 24hrs and it cured into a nice thin later of dust =)

So are there other waxes out there that dont cost a fortune and is less prome to dust the first few days? Never tried sealents. Hows that again initial dust?

Carnuaba waxes tend to attract dust more so than sealants, at least from what I've read here. I suggest purchasing a quick detail spray with anti-static properties to reduce the dust issue. FK1 425 works great for this.

used to use OTC waxes until I found Klasse and Zaino. KSG and Z sealants attract 200% less dust, try them and you will see the diff. They also last much longer too.:2thumbs:
