Wash mitts

My preference is Chenille or Wool. IMO microfiber does not have a deep enough nap to draw dirt far enough away from the paint.

i am also for sheepskin/wool mitts (sm arnold), though i am using a chenille (viking) right now with no probs.

I bought some SMarnold Snow white cotton mitts and some Autogeek cotton mitts : the Smarnold mitts failed the burn test black smoke was produced the Autogeek mitts passed so did the Viking cotton mitts but I do not like the foam backing inside.

The Autogeek mitts is for me.

I've only used a chenille mitt once. It was back when I could careless what I sued to wash (thatw as about 2 1/2 years ago). I once even used those yellow foam bone sponges.

Now I only use sheepskin. It just feels right.

Ya I actually bought a grout spnge but have not used it yet.

By the way way how to you rinse it out it hold alot of suds.

Two things to consider with regard to mitts (well, at least IMO):

Softness: I CD-test, but remember to test with both the CD and the mitt wet with wash solution. Materials that'll scratch dry won't do it when they're soaked in shampoo.

Free-rinsing: some mitts (SM Arnold MF ones come to mind) really retain certain types of dirt and that can lead to marring.

I use all three types of mitts and they all have pros and cons.
