Wash again after polish / glaze before wax?

I am going to use DACP followed by #9 if necessary and then finish with #3 machine glaze.

My question is, should I wash my car after the steps just mentioned before I use BF PP followed by P21s? Will the wax adhere properly and buff off ok without washing after the polish / glaze step?

I was thinking about a wash with P21s or Pinnacle (which I have) before I wax.

Or is it a waste?

What you have to ask yourself is :

Will washing remove all the nice fillers and oils from the glaze, PLUS add in more contaminants you've just spent ages getting rid of.

If the paint aint clean after its been compounded/polished and glazed, then a wash isnt going to make much difference.

Just my $0.02

BF has been purported to bond fine on top of glazes. I think Platinum is another one. You wouldn't want to put Zaino or Klasse SG on top of a glaze though. They won't bond.

ya know, back in my days before I was really active in this sport, I would wash the car right after I waxed and then rewax it and it worked great! This was the days before microfiber towels and these new, easy to use products that we have now.

I know you aren't really asking this, but it reminded me of it....

I would wash it. If you don't, there is no telling how well your swirl removal turned out. The oils in the polish will hide some swirls and a proper inspection would be impossible till the fillers wore off.

Washing your car will most likely NOT add paint contamination, but if it did, the solvents in the carnuba would most probably take care of it.

wouldnt that be the perfect time to Qd....anything that wasnt supposed to be there would be lifted up via the QD and Mf.

but that im my opinion wouldnt work for a glaze, all your fillers that you WANT to be there would be washed away....that seems to be the logical step to me.....
