Was detailer driving customer’s car when it was involved in a fatal accident?

A guy with multiple DUI arrests being entrusted with the keys to a high dollar, high powered car unsupervised? Yeah, I'm really surprised he made yet another stupid choice and ended up killing someone.



Detailer or not, that's not the kind of guy who should be around cars like that. Irresponsible, immature, etc. it's a recipe for disaster.
 
High performance cars like these need to have power reducing valet keys/fobs like the C4 ZR1 had, only with very reduced power, 100hp is plenty. There is no way I'd feel comfortable giving someone a car like that.

I NEVER use the valet. NEVER. Besides the fact that I'm cheap, There are too many bad stories of abuse, theft, door dings, etc.
 
I don't know why this article is giving so much attention to this guy being a Detailer? I read on another forum how so many posters were condeming detailers driving customer's cars. It's not that big of a deal guys!!! The car is insured and the detailer probably is too. Detailer or not, the fact of the matter was this guy is obviously a dumbarse for driving this way. Especially a car with this much power.

Yeah, it's the same like a mechanic driving your car to diagnose a problem. I'd assume the article puts emphasis on him being a detailer simply because that's how he got access to the vehicle.

Cynical ol' me thinks "because it's easy to write the article that way and get lots of exposure".



Being critical of dumb@$$$es in general isn't popular ya know :rolleyes: ;) but picking on "detailers" is pretty safe by comparison.



But yeah...people oughta give some thought to who might be driving their vehicles and have things clearly sorted out with the shops they patronize. With my "real cars", the authorized-drivers list is pretty short I *know* everybody on it.
