Somehow Dell has a coupon that if you spend $1500 or more on a Dell Inspiron Laptop, you get $750 off! Nice deal if your looking at laptops. Deal seems to have worked out if you check the forum on the above link. Some of my friends have said however that the IBM's are more reliable, but this is a crazy good deal still :D

They are also running the same deal at GotApex The coupon code is ZD5$P0NS954P16 . On some models, you have to add so much in add-ons. They are also running a rebate of the $49 shipping charge. An excellent deal.
 
I had an Inspiron for two years. Trouble-free and great laptop. I recently bought an IBM Thinkpad and gave the Dell to my son in college. I really like the IBM but you can't go wrong with a Dell.
 
My sister called me with that deal. I built a nice little machine for her for only $1,100 at Dell after the coupon. Too bad I don't have an extra grand to toss out for a new machine.
