waiting period for applying another coat of wax?

hi all,

i just did a maintenance on my car today. i washed the car twice, spot clayed, and applied a coat of megs. carnuba wax on my car.

i just want to know how long do i have to wait before i can apply another coat of carnuba? 24hrs? if longer, how long? thanks.

You could have done the second coat as soon as you finished the first one...If I have the time I wait one day only because I'm to lazy to keep going
 
As far as I know there is NO waiting time to reapply a carnuba wax. but there is a wiating time to allow set up so you don't remove the wax to soon.

Unless it is a sealant, layer right away. Saves washing or Quick Detailing again. Wait a day for Sealants, including Meg's Tech Wax.
 
thanks for all the input everyone. i thought the carnuba needs to bond with the paint just like the sealant. and in addition, i thought i need to wait at least 24hrs before i apply another coat. thanks all!!! im addicted to this and i cant stop learning.

most would just say a second coat right after will just give it a more even coat rather than a second layer. i really dont know or have done a test but i have spitshined! oh the glory of spit shining. ive done 2 coats right after another and 2 coats right after another using the spitshining method. the difference is clearly there and the idea of why and how it works makes sense. \

do a search on it and recent post and threads about it will explain
