Waffle weave towels?

Any of Rag company's 100% Korean made products, including WW are off the charts good at ridiculous low prices. Its the only place for me. I'd even compare them to MF madness quality at a fraction of the cost. Key word...100% Korean only. The Chinese products are not worth the cost savings.

I must be in the minority on this one but I really dislike the Dry Me A River. I don't see anything special about it. To me it's not very soft compared to other waffles I've purchased from MFT.

All this TRC buzz convinced me to try a couple of Dry Me A Rivers...I have a lot of WW's from a lot of places, and the DMAR really does seem to have a different construction than any of the others I have (larger, flatter squares). I'm going to try them as soon as it warms up a little, or maybe I'll try to dry the snow off my car today...

I really love them. As others said softer than the cobra and edgeless. I think they do a great job drying too.

My WW from Cory's MF Madness line (freebie with my other MFs, "Thanks, Cory!") is a bit different from my other WWMFs too, and very soft..works great, but heh heh, I guess all WWMFs do *for a while* until they get that "ineffective WWMF syndrome" that eventually affects 'em all.

I just picked up another The Edgeless Avalanche Super Plush Drying Towel and a few Everest 1100.

Guz, What's your thoughts on the 1100's I really like the 800's...............

I have not used them yet as they just came in this week. But they are very plush. They are comparable to the Adams double soft towels. Not sure if you have ever used one of those. I like this style towel.

I bought the dry me a river towels after reading this back in February. I tried them for the first time this weekend. They absolutely work much better than the WW guzzler towels I had been using. How do they work some much better? I have no idea, guessing it's the combination of fabrics used in making them. Hands down, they work extremely well.

I'll be interested to hear how the DMAR/etc. WWMFs (mine from CarPro sounds similar) hold up over time, whether they succumb to the "tired WW"-effect and start to just push water around.

I recently purchased a few products from The Rag Company including the Dry Me A River Jr towels. I used the towel for the first time yesterday and must say it's nicer than the other large WW drying towels I own and have been using for years. It's noticeably softer, it's denser and the absorption is impressive. I think it leaves less residue on glass than the other towels - - a single pass seems adequate.

I believe this "Junior" (20" x 40") version is sized just about right so that it would dry an entire car, regardless of size. My rating: :winner:

tom p.- Ah, appreciate your take on them. So the "Jr." is that big too?!? I kinda like smaller drying towels.

BTW, thinking of not-so-small MF drying towels, remember those blue/gray plush ones from Walmart? I used one to dry the A8 yesterday (dumb, must've had a brain-pause) and Oh Man did it leave MF lint all over it. Just awful, had it not been raining today I might've rewashed over it (no, just QDing with another MF didn't fix it). Gotta remember to restrict those things to nasty-area duty...

It's my first choice to have a small WW in one hand a medium size WW in the other when drying. The small "Jr." version of these towels is large. I cannot imagine how huge the regular size must be. However, I suspect I'll end up using just the Jr. size towel to dry the entire car. It appears to be up to the task in terms of capacity.

^^^I still have some of those laying around. They look like new. Maybe mine haven't been used as much, but I haven't had any issues with the linting.

FWIW, the Dry Me a River is real nice and I bought just a small amount to demo. I have absolutely no need for more drying towels - - I've got way too many. WTS, I'm really glad I purchased a few to try - - you'll never know what your missing unless you take a "risk" once in a while. It appears to be a quality product, better than the other stuff I've owned to date.

I asked the folks at The Rag Co. if I could cut the drying towel in half. They didn't think that was a good idea.

Yeah, mine still *look* OK too. Eh, IIRC you never did have the linting issues with them like I do..Not sure why I'm so surprised by this time, maybe because it didn't bug me so much on the Tahoe.

Yeah, I felt the same way and, also WTS, the way I liked my MF Madness drying towels was a real eye-opener.

Wonder if they're just erring on the side of caution, or whether cutting it would lead to the obvious concerns...

Guys, if I'm not mistaken, they say at the TRC site that the smaller towels are the same construction as the DMR's, even if they're not called "DMR's". I remember this because I don't like huge towels either so the ones I bought to try (maybe today!) I got the Jr. and the one smaller than that.
