Do you people prefer the larger wf towels or the smaller? I'm thinking of buying the smaller version because they're not as cumbersome and the possibility of them dragging along the ground when your drying your lower panels might be less. On the downside though I'll probably have to use more than one towel, but to me a smaller one might be easier to work with? What do you people think?

This was my recent dilemma as well. I bought a bunch of WW towels from Ranney but they're all 2' x 3'. I too prefer a smaller towel since they're easier to handle and don't drag on the ground...exactly as you note.

I found one of Ranney's towels was not quite enough for the larger cars and was really looking for a smaller WW to do that little remaining touch up. Someone pointed out that David has a 3pk of super soft, small WW towels for $19....that's what I ended up doing so I use one small and one large towel per vehicle and that seems just right for me.

David's towels are softer than Ranney's but they have that danged label attached.

What's "small" in this context? The gray WWs I got from David and Ian are both smaller than my BBT, which is smaller than the blue WW from Ian.

*I* just tear the labels off as carefully as I can, no real problems with the towels unraveling. And FWIW, I like having both (or in my case, all three) sizes.

I like the 24 x 36 for drying. With a little care, you shouldn't have any problems with them dragging on the ground. Work with them folded into quarters.

...and they look like they are on sale this week for $17. I picked up a 3pk of these and they are very soft and ideal for "touch up" drying. :xyxthumbs :xyxthumbs

I also have waffle weaves in 3 different sizes. I like the Big Blue Towel for the hood, roof and trunk and then either fold it for drying the sides or use the smaller waffle weave.

Thanks for the comments so far. Just so you know Dwayne at pac sells a waffle weave that's either 16 by 24 or 16 by 27. It's not listed on his website, but he offers it. I know because I asked him.

Out of pure curiosity, does anybody else sell small WW's ??

Excellent WW!!! Just got to use both sizes today. Extremely soft and excellent weight. The edges are hemmed with MF and MF thread. Very absorbent. The large Blue was able to do my LS400 with only 2 wring outs.

I normally work with 2 medium WW. One to pick-up the majority of the water and the second to complete drying of area. Works great for me.

Anything over 30" is too much to handle for me. :wavey
