Waffle Pads

I never see any mentioning of waffle pads. Has anyone used these before??? These are Prowax's waffle pad, anyone care to chime in????

I did my dad's car one day last year and was otu of pads. I ran up to the local paint supply shop and all they had was 3M waffle pads. Actually, they had more but I was in a hurry and did not bother to turn around to see the whole aisle of pads behind me . So I got the waffle pads, used one and threw the second one away. I hated it. I did a better job by hand than with those things. But maybe someone else had better luck.
