2013 VW Passat. Owner has had this car a while, plus it sat on the dealer's lot for several months. The owner seems to have the proper wash technique down (mostly uses ONR) but the time on the dealer's lot meant lots of touching by their people and 99 times out of 100, that's not good. Paint wasn't in horrible shape, mostly moderate swirling throughout along with some water spotting on the trunk lid and lower panels.
Side by side shots:

After:

Owner's budget was two steps and Opti-Coat Pro so the challenge was finding something to correct the paint while not marring it up too much for Opti-Coat Primer Polish to remove. My experience has been that the clear on VW jet black isn't as hard as their clear on other colors so I started with Rupes Keramik Gloss. Worked great on the water spots but still left some swirls behind. Meguiars M100 was a bit too aggressive, leaving some light hazing. Solution? Mix the two 50/50. Not only did I get the cut I wanted but Keramik Gloss extended the work time too. Above shots are after the KG/M100 step.
ONR wash
Opti-Raser pink (mild) to spot clay
Meguiars M100 mixed 50/50 with Rupes Keramik Gloss using a Meguiars MF cutting pad and Rupes 21 DA
Optimum Opti-Coat Primer Polish using a yellow foam Rupes polishing pad and Rupes 21 DA
Opti-Coat Pro applied to the paint and wheels
Optimum Glass Coating applied to the windshield
Armor All on tires/wheel wells
Just a few after shots, owner's other car was behind the Passat and I believe their young son was taking a nap so the car was left in the garage.

---------------------
1991 Ford Mustang LX convertible and 2011 Mazda CX7. Surprisingly, the pony wasn't the expected 5.0. Current owner has had the car over 20 years and since a 4 cylinder Fox body Mustang in good shape is so rare, he wanted to keep up on it. The CX7 belonged to his daughter and was long overdue for its first detail.
Both were basic (1 polishing step) details, able to really knock down the (mostly) light swirls and fine scratches on the Mustang, the CX7's paint looked nearly defect free prior to polishing.
ONR wash
Opti-Clay yellow (mild)
Optimum Hyper Polish using an orange Optimum foam waffle cutting pad and Rupes 21 DA
Opti-Seal
Armor All on tires/wheel wells
3D Trim Protectant on the Mustang's exterior trim
