How do you feel about the car care section of your owner's manual in regards to offering proper advice on washing, waxing, treating leather and vinyl to ensure your autombile remains in good condition for years to come?

I have an Audi A8 and an Acura MDX. They give no great detailed info only basic common sense.

If you want to keep your car tip top shape, you won't learn what you need to know from the manual.

I am guessing this is in response to MFM?

Only basic DIY instructions are worse these days in owners manuals. I would consider Autopia to be my official "owners manual for car care" in terms of appearance and detailing maintenance :up

the info I have seen is sort of generic regardless of the mfr. It typically reads: " Wash your car frequently and wax 1X per year". That's the extent of guidance.

Have you come across an OM that has much detail on detailing?

My Porsche Cayenne Manual Pretty Much Says:

"Use Porsche Products"

Has Some Good Common Sense Info. Better Info Than Some Manuals I Have Looked At, But Definetly Not The Most Thorough Source imo.
