VM/EX-P on Silver Metallic 2004 Acura TL (pics)

Obsessed... who me?
I had WG on my daily driver (Silver Metallic Acura TL) but I wanted something clearer (even though WG remains one of my favs.) Based on advice from Autopians, I went with VM / EX-P x2.



Process:



Wash: WG Auto Bathe

Strip: 50/50 IPA

Clay: WG poly clay (10:1 soap/water lube)

Wash

Glaze: VM

Sealant: EX-P x2 (2nd coat to ensure complete coverage)

Tires: Z-16

Trim: Poorboys BnB, Wax Blaster

Glass: Z-12, EX-P



Photos are weird because of the weather though. A new record for rainfall in May was just set for our area and it's been overcast, sunny, raining, overcast, switching by the minute. You can tell from the photos. :o (all photos were taken within a 3 minute time span.)

That looks really good, I look foreward to using that combo on my dads silver vette when i get home (only one more week). Great detail, that silver looks awesome!

Definitely has that glow that we silver owners are always looking for.



As soon as my 2.5 year TSX lease is up, I'll be getting a new TL. I just hope they will still have either the Redondo Red or Abyss Blue!
 
Looks great. Nice combo. I am in the process of looking at Acura, BMW, Infiniti and Cadillacs. Tough choice to make.
 
Thanks for all the nice comments, all! VM and I are quickly becoming best of friends. Just tried it under WG and I like it even better than WG's own pre-sealant polish.



andriver: I was in the same boat as you (minus the caddy, add an A4.) In the end, it was the TL or a 330ci and I couldn't justify the price of the Bimmer (plus the TL's interior was better as well as nav.)

I could say the same for your cars. That RSX is too much fun to drive. I test drove that even though I wasn't considering it just because they're so much fun to drive.



And the Z... well that was on my short list but the TL's interior won me over. The Z's a beast though!
