Vinyl seats -- Classic Car Experts chime in

Ok, my dad has a 67 Tempest (some of you may have seen the pics a while back) and for Christmas he got a kit to completely redo the seats. Last night, my dad and I took off the old vinyl off the back bench and recovered them with new vinyl, new rings, the works. It looks awesome, but I was thinking last night, being an Autopian and all, how do I protect them? I know 303 is designed for vinyl, but it probably isnt a good idea to put 303 on the seats and make them sorta slippery. The last set (original) were getting all faded and cracked, and I dont want that to happen again, so do you guys know anything that will provide good protection but that won't make the seats too slippery to sit on? Thanks in advance.

P.S. I'll post pics of the newly redone interior after we redo the front buckets later this week :D

Back in the day that was always the trade-off: slippery or unprotected. Id buff and buff to remove any excess, but I'd still slide around a bit during aggressive cornering. So no good answer here :o But then I haven't had vinyl (except Benz "tex") since forever and there've been a lot of new products in the last 25 years. The Tex stuff isn't all that slippery when treated due to its texture (get it, "tex"?) and I just used Pinnacle's vinyl stuff on it.

I kind of figured those were my options, but I thought I'd check to see if anyone had any ideas I hadn't thought of yet. Anyways, thanks for the input. If anyone else has any ideas, don't hesitate to post 'em.

Keep protected from the sun is about the best option as, unfortunately, with the older types of vinyl cracking and fading are inherent.
