I've never used this product nor do I endorse or caution you from using it. It's quite possible that diluted Woolite or all purpose cleaner will have the same results.

But the video emphasizes several important things about cleaning fabrics:

1. Keep the seat as dry as possible. Always brush when dry and vacuum when dry before shampooing and cleaning.

2. Use as little liquid cleaner as possible. A fine mist is enough. Heavy application will result in water spotting.

3. Clean the entire panel you are working on to avoid "ringing."

It's common for detailers to use entirely too much cleaner and get seats an carpets far more wet than necessary. This can result in the formation of new staining (from water evaporation at varying rates) and odor forming bacteria.

When cleaning fabric and carpet, less is more.

Great info... thanks! The video is worth watching, too. I don't have any proof, but I *think* that the product in the video is an encapsulation type cleaner. These types of cleaners are popular in the carpet cleaning industry when hot water extraction isn't practical. The residue they leave behind is water repellent; when you spill something on fabric treated with this type of cleaner it beads up, and absorption into the fabric is greatly slowed. The effect is similar to that of Scotch Guard and similar protectants, but without the nasty hard-to-say, harder-to-spell chemicals mentioned in the video.
