Mush-Mouth said:Nice video. You cleaned the heck out of those wheels. I'd really would have liked to see how clean they were after just powerwashing.
richy said:Jason, what brush did you use to clean the face/spokes?
Deep Gloss Auto Salon said:I may have a clip with just after the pressure washing.... I will check
Hey Richy: I think you are referencing the brush that I used to get between the splits in the spokes. If so, it is a no name handheld wool tool... I got it from Autozone, I have seen them at many stores... If you can't find them in Windsor let me know and I will pick one up for you.
mshu7 said:Thanks for posting the video. You are very thorough with your wheel cleaning. I just have to ask though, what is the benefit of Opti-Guard on a wheel if you're still going to spend that much time and effort cleaning it? Isn't one of the benefits of OG the fact that dirt and grime wash away much easier?
Shiny Lil Detlr said:Heh... so I'm not the only one still using those old Meg's Gold Class cone brushes!
Deep Gloss Auto Salon said:Did I just date myself...lol

I also have silver painted Enkei wheels, and they got absolutely FILTHY this winter in the snow/slush/crud on the roads. I was able to clean them with ONR without a problem, and they aren't coated with anything.
I guess I just don't understand the benefit of applying a coating to wheels if it's just going to mean more time and effort to clean them.

Something to consider.....Because the coating is not affected by harsh detergents, I use an APC like Power Clean without any adverse affects. It seems to help loosen the dirt to where just my powerwasher removes everything (except maybe the barrels).
