Video: BLACKFIRE Instructional with Mike Phillips/Autogeek

Todd@RUPES

Just a regular guy
A couple of Thursdays ago I had the pleasure of working with Mike Philips in the Autogeek Show Car Garage and had the opportunity to apply the BLACKFIRE treatment to a hammered black 2012 Camaro. Yancy, the Creative Director for PBMG, put created an instructional video for us to share.

I watched the "behind the scenes" version and it was quite entertaining: interplay between Mike and Todd, watching the helpers do their parts, Yancy, and Nick. Of course, Yancy was the man with the plan in his head trying to direct the guys. Mike knows when the DA is not running a full speed!

One of the more interesting items was Todd cleaning the polish residue with BF rinseless as opposed to some IPA mixture, etc. I also like Todd's pad cleaning method using a mf wrapped around a roll of painters tape.

Nice video Todd. It is very informational and entertaining at the same time.

Thanks for posting that Al. It was SO MUCH fun to work on that project. It was one of the true blessings of this job to be able to do fun projects with Mike Phillips! As you can see, Mike and I get along really well and he has been a great friend since I first met him 6 years ago.
