vibrating 7424

whilst my pc is OK up to setting 5, on 6 it vibrates uncomfortably.

I am using the velcro baking pad and 6.5 or 7" pads. Would the heavier weight from the 7336 help or do i just have to get used to it?

I have the best results using a 5 inch plate with a 6 inch counter weight and 6 inch pads. I would try switching up to the heavier counter weight.

How are you holding the PC? If you hold the PC by the head of the machine with one hand and use the other hand to hold the other end of the machine this will reduce the vibration.

thanks, I prefer to use the side handle particularly on the roof of a car cos its easier to reach.

Will get the heavier weight and give it a try and may also try the different hold and see how I get on.....

I agree with stevet, get the 6" weight and lose the side handle. It's a little weird at first without the handle, but after one detail like that you will never go back. That handle acts almost like a tuning fork.

I, too, ditched the handle. All it ever did for me was accidentally scratched the paint when working at odd angles.

I've never found it locally, and got mine from coastal tool along with another item to rationalize the shipping cost.

CMA just recently started carrying the counterweight too, and they are a lot more reasonable on the shipping. If all you want is the weight I would recommend emailing or calling them to get a quote on the wieght only. http://www.properautocare.com/pocacowe.html
