Verizon.com down...

PA DETAILER

DETAILED TODAY?
Been about 2 days now. Rest of the net is fine. But....this means no access to my e-mail. Called this morning and they are aware of the issue. Could not give me a time when it should be fixed. This is my home page of course.

Expected to be up on sunday 8:30 am 10/19/14

Well that was BS. Called them again sunday, and they had me run some tests with them on the other end. They never heard of being able to access the net, but not my home page/e-mail. Result...Bad modem. They are sending out a new one UPS. Should be here today. The latest upgraded one. No charge for anything of course. And the last 5-6 days with out that service will be credited to the account. Going to fun going thru 6 days of e-mail!

Man I hope there isn't a charge. They are a pain when it comes to that stuff. We pay all that money & want us to do the service work

Mi Amigo !
Sorry you have been in email-he-_ _ for a bit - I cant think of anything worse - especially if you use email every day like I do...

So, when you lost your email, did you look at the Incoming Server, Encrypted Connection, Outgoing Server, Encrypted Connection Settings and verify they were correct ?

In my experiences with Email, this is usually the only thing that gets whacked out and has to be set again, when it stops working..

Only other thing I can think of is that you lost your email address completely - well, actually, they lost it or disconnected or something like that...

Just went through that nosebleed of having to get a new email address after having the same one for 14 years, and no one should ever have to go through that...

Have never heard of the cable modem etc., going out and not allowing just email either..

It all comes in through the Internet like you already know... Weird....
Good luck !

Verizon = Never Again.

Dumped them in the 1990s & never looked back. I loathe that company...

"Can you hear me now?"

No.

I was not here when it came, so the bh still had to spend about a hour with tech to get it up and running. Part of the problem was our dell is showing its age along with the windows. A new pc is not in the budget now.
