velcro backing plate locally? (dallas)

ugh, started polishing my car. got through the wash, the clay, started with the optimum compound and got 35% of the way through and started seeing black crap fly all over the place. the backing plate was coming apart on my PC.



can i buy them anywhere locally in dallas? i just don't want to have to wait a few days and start over, be nice to get it done this weekend while the car can stay in the garage.

thanks scott, new you would know! do you know if they are open on the weekend at all? i called (number changed) but just got an answering service.



any other weekend options you may know of?
 
home depot actually sells velcro discs, but they are without the screwing-in mechanism that connects them to the PC 7424. however, with a little ingenuity, i was able to take that mechanism off of the broken velcro tab and drilled some holes into the new backing plate, and then use some bolts to hold it into place. i spent 6 hours or so with that thing and 3 different pads doing optimum compound, polish, and bfwd. no problems at all with the backing plate. solid as a rock. i'm pleased :D



finally got the car done. the 2007 paint was actually in much worse shape than i thought previously. there are quite a few small knicks and cuts here and there that i can see, but i stopped and took out so many that i could, i'm just not sure anyone could get all of them. to the naked eye, many people won't see those imperfections.



but, it's done, and that's all that matters. the bfwd is getting slicker and wetter as we speak :D
