This weekend, I had my first velcro pad fly-by.
A Meg's Velcro polishing pad a couple of years old.
Backing plate was a Meg's Velcro 5" about 2-1/2 years old.
PC speed was 5.
Pad went by at about 22 mph.
I changed backing plates to my Edge Velcro 5" that I bought from PAC in February. I tried the pad that came off and it stuck like glue to the new backing plate. (I did use a clean pad to finish the job)
Before you condemn your velcro pads, try them on a backing plate other than the one you are using when you have the problem.
