velco pads

I currently have a 6 inch velco backing plate. I am thinking it is Sonus brand.



I had some older pads that worked with the backing plate I believe they were Propel?



What is the difference between it and a hook and loop backing plate?



Also what pad manufacturers make pads for this type of backing plate?



Will LC pads fit and work with the backing plate or do I need the hook and loop?

Post a pic... but I think it's the same thing... hook and loop backing plates have the velcro type stuff that attaches to the pads...
