Those prices are insane for what you are getting. PM Danase and talk to him about what you want to do.



Steamers and HWE can overlap in some areas but really are completely seperate tools for different things. A steamer is going to be very inefficient at doing carpet and seating, where as an extractor will be far faster. Conversely a extractor is going to be a mess when doing door jambs, dash, trunk area, engine bay, and wheels. See rag's post in the steamer thread in the professional detailers area.



There are more things to consider with A HWE aslo, the products you use are a very big component of how well it works.

Thanks for the words of wisdom. Yes very expensive. I actually have the KleenJet ®Mega 500V and find it just isn't what i expected and considering sending back within the 30day return policy and exchanging for their steam carpet cleaner. A huge loss i.e. freight back and forth to Canada.



Having said that, the specific steamer carpet cleaner e.g. Daimers XPC-5700 verses the hot water extractor equal competencies or is one better than another?



Secondly, what does PM Danase mean?

Okay, as i said they are two different beasts. what you need to figure out is which of the two is your most pressing need.



Carpet/ upholstry/ headliner



or



dash, door jambs, engine.



Which one takes the most of your time, or is not giving you the results you need. It realy is as simple as that.

I dunno if this will be of any help, but I have THIS DAIMER STEAMER and it works a *lot* better than the slightly less powerful one I got from another maker.



I've never tried one of the steamer/extractor combos, but rather I have a separate unit for each task. I can't help but wonder if the combo units would be just wonderful, with the benefits of both systems, or a compromise that won't do either job as well :nixweiss

What would be the HWE of choice for a 1-3 car/week job? So far i have heard Mytee HP100, Durrmaid Mini HWE, Aztec (hot rod), Aztec (hot spotter). Not sure of the difference between the rod/spotter...



What do you recommend?
 
Any one use Mytee-lite? Purchased one less than 90 Days ago, the small black hose at the hand wand, keeps kinking and cutting off flow. Contacted dealer I purchased it from said no warranty, E Mailed Mytee- No Warranty, tryed to re E Mail Mytee no answer. Is this a common problem. Have tryed to use a braided hose but it blows off. Thought it might be getting to hot but, No heat setting,
