vapor steam, wet-vac, or extractor?

I'll figure it out....
This is still a hobby for me, but I continue finding folks needing interior work. I don't really know how deep I plan to get into this (maybe just a part time side gig), but I do know that I will need something very soon as my dry vac isn't going to cut it for stains or heavy dirt.

I can only afford one item up to the $300.00 range, so any suggestions you can offer will be appreciated.

I would start with a wet-vac, then extractor, then vapor steam. Honestly, you can get a wet vac at Sears for around $100 and an extractor (Bissle) for $40 from amazon.com. The only down side to the Bissle is the size, it's a little small and doesn't have a lot of volume but it does the job good enough until I can save up for a big one.

I have Bissell carpet cleaner that I got form Wal-Mart for around $200. It has an extension on it that you can use to extract water and it works ten times better than a little green machine. I also have a brush attachment for my PC that I use to agitate the carpet and loosen up the dirt.

When one of my old Shop-Vacs gives up, I think this will be my next Wet-Vac.

Heard lots of good things about it.
Home Depot for $69.

That looks like a good deal. I'm trying to find something not big but with a good size power. If its a blower thats added bonus. Anyone got any ideas? I've found a 10 gallon 4.5 hp wet/dry shop vac at Lowes for 74 bucks that can be converted to a blower.

4 gallon / 5 hp with that size is great!
