Valugard Shipping

Is there anywhere to purchase Valugard products other than from their website? I'm interested in the ABC system but paying almost $40 in shipping for something that costs $55 isn't very appealing.

You can get ABC from Ford dealerships. I'd try to just get the "A" and "B" as the "C" is merely a 7.0ph shampoo that didn't impress me.

Yep, I didnt use the C last weekend when I did the SL. All came out just fine. I'll try the dealership when needed. I sure hope they'll know what I'm talking about when I mention "A" and "B"

Ron's probably not going to like that observation. :hide:

You can get the correct Ford-Motorcraft part numbers on the Valugard.net web site.

Go to Engineers heading, click go to the Ford TSB for raildust, etc, etc.

All the part numbers are there. and if you "think" that any shampoo is the ok, you are wrong. There is some chemistry involved other than just being a pH7 balance.

Maybe since I might be able to get it locally, I'll go for the C too, but A and B get used more quickly so maybe Ill look into those first while I still have ample C.

The Motorcraft part numbers are ZC-1-A, ZC-2-A, ZC-3-A Haven't been to a Ford dealer to price them, but on line I believe the A and B are $40 each and C is $30--- all in gallon sizes.

If that's the case, I guess its better to take the hit on the shipping and get the whole kit.

What functional advantages might "C" bring to the table? If it's a *necessarily* integral part of the decontamination system then I'll quit suggesting that people skip it :o

I don't mind using it after "A" and "B" since the vehicle will already be cleaned at that point, but I really don't like it for a regular wash. Being left with a large quantity of "I won't be using this" shampoo made me think of merely buying/using "A" and "B" and just finishing up with another ~7.0ph shampoo.

Exactly my logic.

Nothing happened to the paint of the car I completed the three step wash using a substitute for "C" on but if there are advantages of "C" Ill return to using it exclusively in that process.

Haven't checked on the cost to ship to NM but my local Ford dealer wants $130 for the ABC. So direct from Valuguard is still $35.00 cheaper then local.

Sheesh....that's gonna make it a hard sell; I'm always recommending it to the Crown Vic/Marauder community, but nobody's likely to pay that when they can get clay nice and cheap.

I talked to the person I know who works for a branch of Ford. She says thats price gouging. Shame on that dealer!

Not surprising. Here in Santa Fe, the Volvo dealer doesn't even offer parts discounts to the local repair shops :der:
