V.quick question about backing pads

Just purchased a UDM, and also ordered 1 pack of pads, along with the pads that would come with the UDM. I don't know how, but i've ended up with 1 Sonus SFX-1 4' Yellow spot pad and a 3.5 inch Dual-Action spot pad backing plate.



In the handbook that came with the UDM it gave the impression that these 2 can't be used together, is that correct?

If you use a 4" pad you'll need to use a 3.5" BP, so I don't see any problem using them on the UDM. I just quickly scanned the manual and didn't get the impression they shouldn't be used. I use a 3.5" BP and 4" pads on the PC all the time, so I wouldn't hesitate to use them on the UDM, unless for some reason it caused a great deal of excessive vibration.
